Professional Negotiations

Appraisal/Umpire process:

Appraisals defined:

The appraisal clause has been very effective in resolving differences in loss amounts set by the insurance companies and the insured, eliminating the need for more formal actions, in most cases. Normally, the process is quick, cost effective and most times very fair to all parties. The appraisal process is, however, not applicable for all disputes.  Losses that may involve legal issues need to be reviewed by an attorney before proceeding with an appraisal.

The experts at ACRUX, LLC are qualified to serve as appraiser or umpire in your claim dispute. The WIND Umpire Certification Program is the first curriculum devoted to training professionals who serve as Umpires in property insurance appraisals. It was developed in 2003 by a group of attorneys, adjusters, and consultants, and seeks to enhance the professionalism of those offering Umpire services. The WIND Umpire Certification Program has been taught to hundreds of professionals since the first class in 2003. Our professionals are WIND Certified.

Excerpt from the Appraisal Defined Link above:

Most insurance policies have a  “right of appraisal” in the policy which sets forth, “…in case the insured and this company shall fail to agree as to the actual cash value or the amount of loss, then, on the written request of either each shall select a competent and disinterested appraiser and notify the other of the appraiser selected within 20 days of the request.…” a mediation process is set into motion to allow disinterested third parties the ability to “Appraise” the loss and set a binding award amount.

ACRUX, LLC can represent you in the Appraisal/Umpire process.  Each appraiser is paid by the party selecting him or her and the expenses of umpire is paid by the parties equally.

ACRUX, LLC supports you through the entire Appraisal/Umpire process to achieve the maximum insurance recovery, due you.
